Folk Bird Wreath
In one of my earlier posts I talked about how forunate I am to have made so many wonderful friends on line and have been able to connect with other artists and craftsmen. Occasionally we do 'swaps'. Recently I participated in a 'folk bird' swap and decided to take the birds I recieved, plus a couple from an earlier swap, and make a wreath. My door was looking a little boring and I thought it would be the perfect thing for summer.
Pictured, starting clockwise from the top....White dove by Linda Matson of Coram, NY, painted red bird from Donna Anderson of British Columbia, Canada, the next two birds are by me, the black wool bird is by D.Huffman from a 2007 swap, the bluebird is by Rhonda Smith of Newton Falls, OH and the bird in the center made from an old flag was made by Kim Lance in the 2007 swap. Birds I recieved but didn't use on the wreath are on windowsills, tabletops and other places of love in my house. Thank you to all of these talented women for being a source of constant friendship and support.
