Pond Day 2

When I awoke they were already working!! Thats a nice surprise after some of the construction people I've had working here on other projects. They dug a bit more and terraced in the areas for ledges of rocks for the fish to hide under, the next level has gravel for a 'bog' area plus a large bog on one end. They also dug and installed both the filter and the falls pumps and the pipe that runs between them. Then tamped it all down hard. Next came the underliner and then the liner which was quite heavy, it took all of them to carry it and spread it out. Then the designer, Daryl, who thus far pretty much just supervised, started placing rocks. He pointed, they brought them and he placed. In one picture you can see him standing back and thinking about what to do next on the falls. Also in one picture you can see the lazer level tool they used and the orange marks on the ground where everything is to be placed. Before they left they put a little water in the bottom to protect the liner if critters with claws got in.
